Double Your Business in Six Months

Back on April 2, 2010, I did a post about the two-year, six month plan for your public speaking business.

I am adding one slide to that lettle three-slide show. It features the math behind Paul Lemberg's idea that if you improve one phase in your business each succeessive month by only 15%, you will double your business in those six months.

Mr. Lemberg's teaches using five phases of a typical online business. I have adapted (changed) these factors for the solo consultant, publc speaker, trainer. They are your Facebook-Twitter -Blog, activities, 15 Press Releases, 15 Ezine Articles, "A New Visual Product," and 15 Promotional Videos.

OSHA says, , , By Wayne Kronz (Slideshow to come)

OSHA Says, , ,

Do we believe what they say? Back in the early and mid ‘90’s the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) claimed to have done extensive research into what really works, visually, in organizational training.

(And I believe they did.)

They published a report, , , Presenting Effective Presentation with Visual Aids.

The problem, , , do we really believe what they say? If we do, , , and I do, , , then every presenter should set about to learn as much as possible about visual communications.

I have a short two-slide presentation to come, entitled, OSHA says, , , that every speaker should tattoo on the inside of their eye lids.

Watch it several times and relish its’ simplicity and then make it your lifetime project to learn as much as possible making your point with visual aids.

Enjoy, , , Wayne.

Switch, Chip Heath and Dan Heath

I like the way these guys talk, , ,

“Psychologists have discovered that our minds are ruled by two different systems—the rational mind and the emotional mind—that compete for control. The rational mind wants a great beach body; the emotional mind wants that Oreo cookie."

In their new book, Switch , they have captured the American workplace, , , with insight that many academics totally miss.

So I have decided to reveal some of what these unique brothers have to say in another quotation slideshow. There’s a lot of material any speaker can use in tomorrow morning’s presentation.

Five Minds of the Future, Howard Gardner

Howard Gardner's newest book, Five Minds for the Future is now in paperback and includes a brand new foreword.

The book outlines the specific cognitive abilities that will be needed and developed by new leaders in the days ahead: 1. the disciplined mind, 2. the synthesizing mind, 3. the creating mind, 4. the respectful mind, and 5. the ethical mind.

This Harvard psychologist gives us academic insight into the “minds” we should esteem in our lives and the lives of others.

To help you get an idea of Gardners’ thinking, I’ve included a new quotation slideshow. Study this show! And then use it in your upcoming speeches.

Long Term Memory, Wayne Kronz

One of my favorite topics is the study of the human memory. One part of my study has been the investigation into the Short Term Memory which has been renamed by cognitive researchers, the "Working Memory."

But much of my interest has been to try to discover how and why people are able to effectively store information for recall and future use in their Long Term Memory.

I have prepared a new musical model to help you understand and apply what I have learned.

Enjoy!

Dreams, from the Terri Guillemets, and QuoteGarden.com

Attention all teachers and public speakers at any level, speaking on any subject. One more time I want to remind you about the value of Terri Guillemets' QuoteGarden.com files. There may be larger quotation websites out there, but none organized any better for a public speaker.

The way I see it, , , every presenter should check out this site before every presentation. You simply can't find a better resource for crisp, meaningful quotations.

So I put a quotation slideshow together on the theme of Dreams. This slideshow, alone, is a great source for quotations you can use in tomorrow's speech.

P.S. If you like this show, embed it in your blog, link to it in emails and social sites, or give it a "favorite" or "thumbs up." Thank you very much!

Engage, Brian Solis

Brian Solis has hit on the secret of building an authoritative social network that will increase your visibility, relevance, influence, and profitability during these troubling times. That secret is to Engage!

To help you sample Solis’ thinking I’ve created a quotation slideshow that is both interesting and compelling.
